Chicken Prik King

I am posting another Thai recipe.  I'm on a roll.  I recently posted a Thai chicken basil recipe.  It was delicious.  This was a fantastic recipe too.

About a month ago, I was caught in the rain.  I ducked into a nearby Chinese store for a cheap umbrella.  I didn't have any cash on me, and the store had a ten dollar limit for credit cards.

Toasted Coconut Pancakes with Chocolate Chips

Don't these pancakes look incredible!  They tasted pretty great too.

Coconut is one of my favorite things.  It has such a wonderful flavor.  I was an adult before I tasted fresh coconut, but I think even dried coconut tastes great.

Thai Chicken Basil

It has been too long since I have made some Thai food.  According to Wikipedia, Thai food is one of the most popular cuisines in the world.

Thailand's most popular dishes are tom yam goong, pad Thai, som tam, massaman curry, and green curry.  I have never eaten tom yam going or som tam.  It's good to know there are still tasty things out there to try.

Chocolate Overnight Oatmeal with Raspberries and Blueberries

I saw Macbeth for the first time yesterday.  I thought I  had read it before, but I was surprised by the plot.

I knew it was a tragedy, but there was more blood than I was anticipating.  There are three witches who predict Macbeth's future.  They are usually three mythical creatures.

Chocolate Cookies with Peanut Butter Chips and a Miniature Peanut Butter Cup

Don't these cookies look fantastic?  Chocolate and peanut butter are one of the best combinations.  I like chocolate and peanut butter second only to chocolate and caramel.

I have made my share of chocolate and peanut butter treats.  Last summer I made a chocolate cookie dough ice cream with marshmallow cream and peanut butter cups.  That was pretty decadent.

Pineapple Chicken

This is my most recent adventure cooking with a slow-cooker.  In the past, I didn't have access to a slow-cooker.  That changed a couple of years ago, and I have enjoyed cooking with this kitchen gadget.

A slow-cooker is also called a crock pot.  The Naxon Utilities Corporation of Chicago, Illinois developed the Naxon Beanery All-Purpose Cooker.  That is a great name.

Balsamic Glazed Asparagus with Bacon

I like my vegetables with bacon.  I recently posted a recipe for Brussels sprouts and bacon.  When I was growing up, I would eat asparagus with Miracle Whip.  I remember it was tasty.

I haven't posted many recipes with asparagus.  I have an asparagus and sugar snap pea recipe with chili orange oil.  Over two years ago I made roasted asparagus and Brussels spouts in an orange vinaigrette.   I made a steak and asparagus salad, which was wonderful.

Toblerone Chocolate Pancakes

I went to the dentist last week, and you will be happy to know that I don't have any cavities.  Unfortunately, I was informed that I don't floss enough.

My current dentist and dental hygienist strongly encourage me to use a water pick as well.  They say it will help prevent my gums from receding more.

Honey Sriracha Roasted Brussels Spouts with Bacon

Another Brussels spouts recipe! I'm clearly a fan.

Brussels sprouts are the bud of the flower.  The precursor to Brussels sprouts first appeared in northern Europe during the 5th century.  The modern Brussels sprouts could have begun being grown as early as the 13th century in Brussels.

Navratan Korma

It is starting to feel like summer around here.  Last Saturday, I was outdoors for most of the afternoon, and I was sticky by the end of the day.

My bike ride to work yesterday wasn't as refreshing.  It was more humid and sweaty.  I like summer, but it has its drawbacks.
