Vermont Whole Wheat Oatmeal Honey Bread

I am getting quite adept at baking bread.  In the last 12 months, I have made bread multiple times.  There have been a few loaves that didn't turn out as well as I would have liked, but overall, I am pleased with my results.

I have gotten into bread baking because of my family.  My brother has made his families bread for several years.  He makes a couple of loaves every week.  My dad and brother in-law are now baking bread too.

Pumpkin Bread with Chocolate Chips

This isn't the type of recipe that one usually makes in the start of spring.  Pumpkin recipes are usually made in fall.

I actually made this recipe in fall, but then I forgot my camera at home over the Christmas holidays.  I just got it back a couple of weeks ago when I saw my parents in Mexico.

Honey Whole Wheat and Oat Sandwich Bread

I am posting another bread recipe.  I have made many delicious loafs of bread recipe.  Freshly made bread is so tasty.  I have been making whole wheat, so it's healthy too.

I have made harvest bread, whole grain pumpkin yeast bread, 100% whole wheat sandwich bread, and classic %100 whole wheat bread.  You might think the 100% whole wheat sandwich bread and the classic %100 whole wheat bread are the same thing, but they are totally different.

German Chocolate Cinnamon Rolls

I have jury duty on Monday.  It is only the second time in my life that I have had jury duty.

The first time, I wasn't selected to be on the jury.  I wanted to be selected so that I could have the experience.  This time I am a little busy at work, so I would prefer to not be selected.

Harvest Bread

I'm posting another bread recipe.  There is nothing as delicious and comforting as home made bread.

This loaf was a little less healthy than my prior bread loaves because it isn't 100 % whole wheat.  It only has a cup of whole wheat flour.

Whole Grain Pumpkin Yeast Bread

I made bread again!  I recently made 100% whole wheat sandwich bread and 100% whole wheat bread.  Those may sound like the exact same recipe, but there were subtle differences.

I have made other yeast bread recipes in the past.  Over a year a go I made pumpkin cinnamon rolls,  raspberry rolls with lemon glaze, and regular cinnamon rolls.

100% Whole Wheat Sandwich Bread

I am in a bread making mood right now.  This is only the second bread recipe I have posted in a while, but I have made this recipe twice and other recipe I'll post in the near future.

Last week I posted a classic 100% whole wheat recipe.  It may sound similar to this recipe, but there are some important differences.

Classic 100% Whole Wheat Bread

I have gotten into making bread.  That is probably an exaggeration because I have only made bread twice in the last couple of months.

I have bought a rather large jar of yeast and a bread pan, so I feel that these two loaves are just the beginning.

Cake Mix Banana Bread

I have gotten into the habit of mailing my nieces and nephews candy for major holidays.  I create little crafty bags or boxes.  Last year I made orange jack-o-lantarn bags full of candy for Halloween.

For Christmas, I decorated boxes of Milk Dud's to look like snowmen.  I enjoy doing it.  It lets my nieces and nephew know that I am thinking about them.

Chocolate and Peanut Butter Swirl Muffins

I am currently eating lots of cheese and crackers.  I have been eating some type of cheese and crackers a few times a week for over a month.  I have eaten many delicious varieties of  cheese.

I can't even remember all of the kinds I have tried.  I currently have Jarlsberg, a mild cows cheese with jalapeƱo, and a couple of goat cheeses in my fridge.

Cranberry Bread with Orange and Oats

My parents receive their local newspaper.  Every week or so they get a free insert tucked in the center fold of the newspaper.  I have forgotten the name, but it has articles and recipes.  My mother clipped this recipe out of the insert.

I tried the recipe out when I was home.  I didn't make the recipe as directed.  It calls for whole wheat flour.  My parents have a bucket of wheat and a wheat grinder.  My father has taken on the responsibility of official wheat grinder.

Pecan Pie Muffins

Yesterday I saw an interesting animated movie called 9.  It is a post apocalyptic world.  All of the characters are man made.  Either I didn't understand all of the movie or there were some whole in the plot.  It was a good movie regardless.

These miniature, automated bean bags were racing to safe the world.  All of the humans were already dead.  I wasn't crazy about the happy ending where all the humans were dead but oh well.

Pumpkin Muffins with Chocolate Chips

It's pumpkin season!  I currently own two jars of pumpkin butter and some pumpkin cereal from Trader Joe's.  I went to a party on Sunday where I ate pumpkin sandwich cookies.  I'm a sucker for seasonal products at the grocery store.

It's always good to have a few muffins stuck in your freezer.  They make a quick, last minute breakfast. I have a few muffin recipes on my blog.

Chocolate Zucchini Muffins

I am typing this while watching the Olympics.  Swimming is still in full swing.  I wasn't sure I would be able to watch the Olympics from home, but my roommate worked out a way to view it from our apartment.  She's a miracle worker.

The Olympics provide hours and hours of entertainment.  I always know what I'll be doing in the evening.  I won't know what to do with all my free time when the Olympics are over.

Banana, Coconut, and Mango Muffins with Chocolate Chips

For unclear reasons, I decided to take a calculus class this summer.  It has been a good experience for the most part.  It is good to know that I  can still think quantitatively.

The negative aspect of the class is that it has been a huge time drain.  I have class twice a week for three and a half hours each class.  On the days I don't have class, I often have a few hours of homework to complete.

Peach Cornmeal Muffins

I went to Aldi's a couple of days ago with a friend.  Neither of us had been before.  I had heard good things about the store, but I wasn't sure what to expect.

It wouldn't be a good grocery store to visit if you were looking for a specific item.  They have a random assortment of odds and ends.  I'm sure they always have the basics, like flour and butter.  When I went, they also had things like jalapeƱo cheese curd, chorizo, and proscuitto.

Passion Fruit and Banana Muffins

Months ago I went to Walmart.  I rarely go because it's not convenient.  I ended up buying a few random items.  For example, I bought a bag of frozen passion fruit puree.

I'm not exactly sure what I planned on doing with passion fruit puree.  It sat in the far corner of my freezer for months.  I rediscovered it recently while searching for a bag of frozen brussels sprouts and decide to make tropical inspired banana bread.
