Ham, Broccoli, and Cheddar Cheese Pizza

These may seem like a strange combination, but it worked.  My inspiration was broccoli and cheese soup.

I think this was the first time I have ever had broccoli on a pizza.  I have had peas on pizza before.  I briefly lived in Taiwan, and peas were a popular pizza topping there.

Broccoli in Hoisin Sauce

This Sunday, I had a potluck brunch before church.  Before moving to the DC area, I hardly ever ate brunch.  Now, I eat brunch at least once a month.

It was a really good brunch.  Someone made tender cinnamon rolls.  The hostess made a blueberry clafoutis.  It was fantastic.  Clafoutis are a baked french desert.  The batter is like flan.  They are traditionally made with cherries.  She inspired me to make my own.  Whenever I try something tasty, I wonder if I can recreate it at home.

Roasted Broccoli and Lemon and Almonds

Doesn't this dish look healthy and attractive?  The colors are bright and green.  It looks very nourishing.

I like eating broccoli because it's like eating little trees.  Roasted broccoli is the best because it isn't mushy, but I don't turn my nose up to steamed broccoli either.
