Crustless Spinach Quiche

I don't make enough egg dishes.  Eggs are so versatile.  They are tasty and healthy too.  They are also pretty cheap for a protein.

I made this dish a couple of weeks ago for a brunch.  I used my pie pan, which I seldom use.  I think that needs to change as well.  Especially since my parents gave me a pie cookbook for my birthday several months ago, and I still haven't used it.

Slow Cooker BBQ Beef

I made these barbecue beef a couple of weeks ago.  It is a whole 30 recipe.  It is the first whole 30 recipe I have ever made.  I'm not entirely sure what that name even means.

I believe whole 30 does not have any carbs or sugar but that could be another diet.  Maybe it is just an older diet with a new name.

Peanut Butter Cookies with Reese's Baking Cups and Reese's Pieces Candy

There is supposedly a hurricane heading near where I live later this week.  I don't believe we will see any of the hurricane, but I believe it will be very wet.  We have already received lots of rain the last couple of weeks.

I'm usually not very prepared for storms.  I usually just cross my fingers that the electricity doesn't go out.  I have purchased a case of bottled water, I own a flash light, and I have trail mix.  I think I am good to go.

Granny Kellett's Jam Cake

Several years ago for Christmas I got a cookbook called American Cakes.  It has been a very fun book.  The book is organized and grouped chronologically.  The author writes about the history and back ground of each recipe, and then shares a recipe for each cake using measurements and techniques modern readers can replicate.

I have baked a number of cakes from this cookbook.  I baked the tunnel of fudge cake for my last birthday.  For by birthday two years ago, I made the hummingbird cake.  The first cake I made was the cherry upside-down cake.  I made it with my mother at Christmas just after receiving the cookbook.
