Sausage, Caramelized Onion, Dried Cherry and Walnut Pizza

I'm going to have a new experience this week.  Some female coworkers and I are going to a Korean spa.

They have gone together in the past, but this will be my first time.

Apparently, you go for several hours and soak.  You can pay extra to be massaged or scrubbed by the attendants.

We will be naked most of the time.  I'm not sure how I feel about being naked around women I see every weekday.

When I see them at work, will I suddenly remember I have seen them without clothes?  I don't know.  It's going to be weird

This pizza isn't weird.  The ingredients may seem peculiar, but they they merged into one delicious whole.

The ingredients are 1 pizza dough, 12 ounces chicken sausage, 1/4 cup walnuts, 1 onion, 1/4 cup dried cherries, 1 caramelized onion, and 2 cups shredded mozzarella.

I spread the dough thinly over a greased sheet pan.

I sprinkled on the cheese.

I sliced and added the chicken sausage evenly over the crust.  My sausage was precooked.

I added the walnuts and dried cherries.

I added the caramelized onion.  I am not going to give directions on how I caramelized my onion because there must be a better way.  Google it.

I baked the pizza for 12 minutes at 475 degrees.

This pizza was a perfect balance of savory and sweet.

The nuts and dried cherries provided distinct and appealing textures.

The cheese was gooey, stringy, and smooth.  The crust was crispy and browned on the bottom.

Overall, this was a delicious and satisfying pizza. It was a little more elegant and chic then a regular pizza.  It was worthy of a fancy pizza parlor.  I ate it with pleasure!
