Chocolate Pancakes with Peanut Butter Chips

It is almost midnight.  I need to be at work tomorrow at 7:30 in the morning, but I feel compelled to finish this blog post.

Why do I feel like I need to finish this post?  It is illogical.  There is no monitory benefit or deadline.

I have a terrible tendency of wasting time at night when I should be sleeping.  I usually waste time by watching Hulu or clips on Youtube.

I recently discovered a Spanish television show called "Gran Hotel," which has been another excuse for me not to go to bed on time.

I have made this recipe before.  I switch it up by adding peanut butter chips.  I like to live on the edge.

The ingredients are 1 cup milk, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons melted butter, 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/3 cup cocoa powder, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 cup peanut butter chips.

I added the milk, egg, and melted butter into a bowl.

I whisked.

In another bowl I added the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt.

I whisked.

I poured the liquid ingredients into the flour mixture.

I whisked everything together.

I added the chocolate chips and stirred them into the batter.

I poured around 1/3 or 1/4 a cup of batter into a hot and greased pan.

Once bubbled had formed around the center of the pancake, I flipped the pancake.

I ate these pancakes with caramel sauce.  I like to guild the lilly.

The recipe makes a fluffy and chocolaty pancake.  It is a great, trustworthy recipe.

I enjoy the texture and the rich chocolate flavor.  The peanut butter chips go perfectly with these chocolate pancakes.

Like most pancake recipes, the extras can be stored in the fridge for later.  Having left over pancakes for a quick breakfast is one of the perks of making pancakes.

I would think of something more witty and clever to say, but I'm sleep deprived.  Good night!

These pancakes look like cookies! I'm definitely on board with that.
