Sesame Sugar Snap Peas

I decided to move today.   I'm pretty excited about it.

I have been thinking of moving for a while.  I want some kind of change.

I have really enjoyed where I currently live.  I'm right in the middle of the city, and I can walk to work.

The downside is that I have little personal space.  My current apartment is so small that I can't invite friends over.  I'm looking forward to inviting people over to eat or play games.

I'm excited to have a new neighborhood to explore.  I'll be closer to some of my friends, but further away from other friends.

This is a Weight Watchers recipe but don't let that discourage you from trying it.  It's really good!  The ingredients are 1 pound sugar snap peas, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, and 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger.  I doubled the recipe.  I didn't double the amount of sesame seeds, but I still had more then enough.

I steamed the sugar snap peas for 5 minutes.  The recipe says to steam the peas for 10 minutes, but mine would have been mushy after ten minutes.

I added the sesame oil to a skillet over medium-high heat.

I added the sugar snap peas, sesame seeds, and ginger.  I stir fried this for about 2 minutes.  I should have cooked the sesame seeds and ginger in the hot oil for a minute before adding the sugar snap peas, but it worked.

This was delicious.  It had fragrant and satisfying flavors.

The sugar snap peas still had a bite.  I don't like overly cooked vegetables.

It was a light and fresh side dish.  It was healthy but still tasty.  I would make it again.
